Ministry of Foreign Affairs: China has achieved full visa free coverage for Gulf Cooperation Council countries

In order to further facilitate the exchange of personnel between China and foreign countries, the Chinese side has decided to expand the scope of visa free countries.

From June 9, 2025 to June 8, 2026, a visa free policy will be implemented for individuals holding ordinary passports from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Individuals holding ordinary passports from the aforementioned four countries who come to China for business, tourism, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends, exchange visits, or transit for no more than 30 days are eligible for visa free entry. 

In addition, the Gulf Cooperation Council member states of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, which fully enjoy visa free access in 2018, have achieved full coverage of visa free entry for Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
